Te Kōhaka o Tūhaitara Trust is a registered charity responsible for the rehablitation and management of Tūhaitara Coastal Park. This is an area used for many of our events, from Karaki/Pines Beach to Woodend and the new Nationals Middle map at Waikuku Beach.

PAPO has donated 400 plants to the trust as a thankyou for hosting two of our Nationals events (as well as many other events of the last few years). We are holding a planting day on Sat 6th Sept as now is the best time of year to get them in the ground.

Meet at 10 am outside the Tuhaitara Office just by Woodend Beach Domain @ 1 Woodend Beach Road, Woodend Beach. Then we'll head in to the Lagoon Trail to our planting site, where we are going to work together to plant the 400 plants bought from the Nationals donation. If we're about 30 people Christopher Dawson (the ranger) estimated the job would be done in about 2 hours.

Please register using this form to get to know approximately how many we are going to be and help with contact for any last minute information:

There will be an orienteering training after the planting for helpers.
