Head outdoors and find your navigational skills

Training events for school students: 19 August – 11 September 2025. In the lead-up to the Canterbury School Orienteering Festival weekend we have training & coaching sessions.

Coaching opportunities:  Training events at different venues around Christchurch 4pm on weekdays in the weeks leading up to the event for only $2. Please check the website for updates on where to meet in case of training event changes:  https://papo.org.nz 

Festival weekend format: Find all the controls in order over a short distance (1-3.5km). Punch the start and finish, and then every control in numerical order on your course. Harder courses will have lots of controls to find, and will require fast decision making. Easy courses are for beginner level.. Before the event you will be allocated a start time.
Starts begin after 1:30pm Saturday & 10:30am on the Sunday.
