Heights of Winter entries close 5pm on Thursday

17 June 2012

With everything just about ready the annual Heights of Winter near Omihi in North Canterbury on Saturday 30th June is shaping up to be a memorable event. Although the area had a good covering in the recent snowfall that has cleared away and the ground is still firm and the streams low. The terrain varies from gentle hills to steep and rugged hill-country with an elevation range of 500m. Vegetation is a mix of clean open grassland, scattered scrub, open native forest, and some plantations.

Entries close 5pm Thursday 21st June so get going and get your entry in. For further information and on-line entries see the NZRA website, http://www.rogaine.org.nz.
