Double sprint OY. University of Canterbury & Kirkwood/Ilam schools.
Two sprints in one day, do one or do both to score the Orienteer of the Year (OY) points. Courses suitable for everyone from beginners to sprint champions.
For PAPO club members, these sprints count as an OY event with the total time for the 2 events used to calculate OY points.

Entries:
Pre-entries are preferred for all PAPO events.
Entries will open approx 2 weeks prior to the event.
Pre-entries close: Wednesday prior to event date.

Limited enter on the day will be available. Enter on the day will be charged at non-member prices for all entries.

If you are new to orienteering, we recommend entering the White (families and children) or Yellow (adults) course for your first event. If you want more, do an additional course for $2 per map.

Note that your entry fee covers both events on this day. (Same fee if you only run one event).
For families going round the course together or caregivers accompanying their children, only the Juniors need to register & pay, the accompanying adults go free.
All entries to be paid by credit/debit card at time of entry via the entry system (EnterO).
Helpers on the day and PAPO members paying with VIP points can choose the VIP points option when paying.

Travel and Parking
Event Centre and parking are in the Haere Roa car park off Ilam Road.
Event registration and start area will be adjacent to parking.
Event timetable:
Registration: From 10.00am
Start times: 10.30am – 11.30am.
Course closure: 12.00pm
Electronic Punching:
This event will use Sportident timing with Air mode enabled; standard SI sticks can be used, punch the controls in the usual manner.
Both standard SI sticks and SI Air+ are now available for hire. SI Air+ is only available as a pre-entry option.
Standard SI hire for $2 is recommended for those new to orienteering.
