Canty Champs, warmup sprint - Geraldine

A low-key sprint event in Geraldine as a warmup to the Canterbury Champs weekend. This will be similar in nature to the Tuesday evening sprints with a choice of beginner, medium and long courses available.

A range of orienteering courses available, with something to suit everyone, from beginners to experts. It includes easy courses for those who are new to the sport and would like to give it a go. All welcome! Event suitable for the whole family.

Pre-entries are preferred for all PAPO events.

Courses:

The three usual evening sprint courses will be available: 

• Beginner (under 2km)
• Medium (2km-3km)
• Long (over 3km)

Costs: 

Usual costs for evening sprints:

• Adult: $10
• Junior/Student : $5
• Family : $25
• Sport Ident hire: $2

Payments:

All entries to be paid by credit/debit card at time of entry via the entry system (EnterO), we no longer accept bank transfers for event entries.
Helpers on the day and PAPO members paying with VIP points can choose the VIP points option when paying.

Travel and Parking

Starts are in Kennedy Park, Geraldine, off McKenzie St starting at 5.30pm. Approximately 2 hr drive from Christchurch.
Access to Kennedy park is off McKenzie St, parking down either Kennedy Park East or West entrances or surrounding streets.

Event timetable:

Registration: From 5pm
Start times: 5.30pm – 7.00pm.
Course closure: 7.30pm
Electronic Punching: SI Air+ will be turned on for this event, bring your SI Air card if you have one. For those without an SI Air card (and anyone hiring a SI card) punch in the usual manner.
