PAPO MTBO weekend 2024

  • Saturday April 13th. MTBO Enduro. Several short MTBO courses linked together. Non-timed sections to ride between the stages. Stages will use the Bottle Lake MTBO map and other maps nearby. See below.
  • Sunday April 14th. MTBO OY - The Willows. See https://papo.org.nz/events/view/4151/mtbo-oy-the-willows 

Both days include easy courses for those who are new to the sport and would like to give it a go. All welcome! Event suitable for the whole family.

Pre-entries are preferred for all PAPO events. Member rates will apply to pre-entries.

Approximate road riding distance between stages (untimed): 10km

Significant amount of riding between stages on public roads will be required.
Riders under 12 must be accompanied by an adult over 18 due to the road riding requirement.

* An SI Air+ card is required for the Long course (or other SI card that holds 50 or more punches). There will be a small number of SI Air+ cards available for hire for this course. 

All competitors must start between 10.30am and 11.00am.

Medium

Approximate road riding distance between stages (untimed): 9km

Family Team

For families going round the course together or caregivers accompanying their children. Only the Juniors need to register & pay, the accompanying adults go free.

Sport-ident hire

 An SI Air+ card is required for the Long/Medium courses (or other SI card that holds 50 or more punches). 

Payments:

All entries to be paid by credit/debit card at time of entry via the entry system (EnterO), we no longer accept bank transfers for event entries.
Helpers on the day and PAPO members paying with VIP points can choose the VIP points option when paying. The Long and Medium courses are "double" events for VIP points (two boxes for senior, one for juniors/students).

Travel and Parking

Bottle Lake main carpark, Waitikiri Drive.
Event registration and start area:  Adjacent to parking.

Event timetable:

Registration: From 10am
Start times Long course: 10.30am – 11.00am.
Start times Medium course: 10.30am – 11.30am.
Start times Short/Easy courses: 10.30am – 12.30am.
Course closure: 2.30pm
Electronic Punching: SI Air+ will be turned on for this event, bring your SI Air card if you have one. For those without an SI Air card (and anyone hiring a SI card) punch in the usual manner.
